Marking Carhartt WIP’s first full-length skate film set in Asia, Ishin Denshin takes viewers deep into Japan’s quiet corners and busy city streets. The film coincides with the expansion of Carhartt WIP’s skate team within Japan and throughout Asia.
Ishin Denshin explores the country’s skate scene – one that endures despite challenging conditions, where the simple act of skating in public can often be met with resistance from local authorities. With a running time of around 20 minutes, the film was shot by longtime Carhartt WIP collaborator Romain Batard, as well as Geoff Campbell, and Kyota Kamei.
Recently at the Carhartt WIP Taipei Flagship Store, we gathered with a vibrant community of skaters and brand friends to step into Carhartt WIP’s first full-length skate film set in Asia, exploring the challenging realities faced by skaters across Japan.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and made the event so special. Together, we experienced the spirit of “Ishin Denshin” — a shared language that transcends words and cultures — and created truly unforgettable memories.
